Welcome
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison, Virginia, and just a short drive south of Washington, DC, Monte Ventoso is a picturesque scene out of Tuscany. With exceptional amenities and local attractions, a visit to this villa is a luxurious experience of tranquility sure to be enjoyed by all. Built as an Italian-style villa and completed in 2012 as a private home, it is now a luxury Airbnb and event venue.
A Note From the Owner
Amongst the hustle and bustle of modern life lies the need to unwind, relax, and savor life's precious moments. To do so, we must consciously make an effort to be present and focus on what matters most: life's simplicities.
Monte Ventoso provides an atmosphere for this way of living. It's an other-worldly haven where you pick organic food from the garden, smell the roses (literally), and picnic in scenic spots around the villa. You can prepare lavish meals al fresco, stargaze, and listen to the birds (and an occasional frog - sit outside on a summer night, and you'll hear what I mean). Relax as you listen to trees whistle as the breeze tickles their leaves, take meandering walks around the farm, and watch the stream caress its rocks. Then, retire to stately appointed bedrooms and languor in deep rest. And most importantly, enjoy one another's love and laughter.
I never envisioned my home as a rental of any kind, much less a place of engagements, anniversary celebrations, or weddings. But alas, here we are - a romantic place on this great planet where people's dreams become their reality.

This is a new high standard in hospitality and grace. The property was an easy drive from DC, elegant, beautiful and serene. This is a majestic and fun retreat with very attentive hosts. We look forward to doing this again soon.
We cannot even begin to describe how magical Monte Ventoso was for not only ourselves, but also our dearly beloved family and friends. David and I were able to share a unforgettable small and intimate wedding amongst those closest to us this past weekend. Beautiful is truly an understatement - the photographs do not do enough justice to how amazing and breathtaking the villa actually is. In the midst of everything going on in our world these days, it was the perfect escape. Not only was the villa itself fabulous, but the location was so secluded that we felt so close to the stars in the sky at night. Any amenity you could think of and more were available - just didn't have enough time to use them all! Jennifer was an incredible host and was so sweet and kind during this whole process. She was not only responsive but super personable as well (even had a cute message and some local wine to start off our weekend). She gave us a tour of the entire property, gave our foodie guests a tour of the garden, and even gave us some fresh picked vegetables the night we came. It was a spectacular and extraordinary weekend - we cannot wait to come back for future anniversaries. All those who attended were just as amazed and inquired about this place. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway or any special occasion.

This is spectacular. We went here for our 40th wedding anniversary that we had booked in Tuscany (but Covid thought otherwise). After this we may never go back to Tuscany!
We had the honor of getting married in a private ceremony at Monte Ventoso this past weekend. Like many other couples who had planned to get married this year, our large wedding celebration and honeymoon have been postponed, and Jennifer’s property was the perfect location for an intimate elopement and “minimoon.” Upon arriving, we were greeted with two bottles of wine from the hosts and a thoughtful note with well-wishes for our weekend. A guidebook provided details about the home and a list of recommended restaurants, one of which delivered a special wedding meal for us. The master bedroom and bath made a wonderful bridal suite with ample space for getting ready and lots of natural light for photographs. We used the first floor parlor room and formal dining space to write letters to one another, and the we exchanged vows in the outdoor space. Each area of the home, including the outdoor areas has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished. I would not hesitate to recommend this home for a weekend away or for celebrating a special occasion. We can’t wait to return!
We had such a wonderful time at Monte Ventoso! We needed an escape from Northern VA and this was the perfect place. Everything is very well appointed and so lovely. Fresh flowers in every room. Amazing gardens- we picked fresh lemons and made lemonade! The kitchen was such a joy to cook in- a Wolf range, subzero fridge and freezer, boos cutting boards. The beds were so comfortable, high quality sheets and linens. The home gym was fantastic. Everything and anything you'd ever want, from yoga balls, a home sauna, treadmill- even a Peloton bike. It was remarkable! The property is so beautiful. The host is extremely responsive and clearly puts in a ton of thought and effort to make your stay very comfortable and luxurious. This is equivalent to a 5-star/5-diamond resort. We will definitely come back and have told our friends.
